DC Kid's is a fun, safe, and never boring place where kids 3 months – 5th Grade can come to KNOW, who Jesus is, GROW in their relationship with Him, and GO with Him! By partnering with families we leverage our influences together to develop kids who are passionate about Christ
SO JUST HOW DO WE DO THAT?
KNOW - "He said to them, "'Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children.'" Mark 10:14b
We use every creative bone in our bodies to craft fun, kid friendly, never boring places for kids to experience God's abundant love for them! Elementary worship services begin in large group where worship is loud and biblical truths are taught through monthly virtues by folks who truly love kids. Our 2's – Kindergartners are greeted by some of the best folks around in classrooms geared just for them where they learn in center based environments that God loves them, God made them, and God wants to be their friend forever. It just makes you want to be a kid again yourself!
GROW - "And Jesus grew in wisdom and in statue and in favor with God and all the people." Luke 2:52
Small groups are part of our weekend worship services because this is where relationship happens and true growth occurs, plus it's fun to hang out with your friends. Through age specific groups we lead the kids to see how God's Word fits into their everyday lives. Our goal is to make sure that three things stick before they head off to thElement Middle School ministry. 1) I need to make wise choices; 2) I can trust God no matter what; 3) I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
GO - "Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it." Proverbs 22:6
They get to go with you and you play the most important role in their lives! So we partner with you by providing tools for you to leverage your influence at home. Each week take home sheets are available so you can continue the conversation at home or download them right from our home page. DC Kids provides tons of resources to help strengthen your journey with Christ as parents such as FamilyTimes ™ virtue packs, local and global serving opportunities for your entire family, and events throughout the year as well as our 6 lesson interactive DVD study, Leverage.
