Under David’s leadership, Discovery has grown into a vibrant community offering multi-site worship experiences that serve more than 4,000 on a weekly basis. Discovery Church has been identified by John Vaughn as one of America’s Most Influential Churches.

David also regularly coaches leaders and teaches in leadership conferences throughout the world. He has co-authored the books Taking Your Church Off Pause (no longer in print) and Church Wounds.

David considers his family to be his greatest asset. He enjoys his 34-year marriage to his wife Caron, who alongside David established Discovery Church, as well as their three married sons. David is also G-Daddy to 6 grandchildren.
