imagesIt is so exciting to be reminded of the anticipation of hope we are privileged to live in at this special time of year. Actually every single day of the year, we can remember Jesus, our hope for every disappointment, in every wrong received, and through every misunderstanding. We can remember Him on the good days and the not so good, when the unexpected visits and heartache rules our day, if we win, or if we lose, in life and in death, Jesus is the One who whispers hope.

So we wait and we hope, we believe and we hope, we live and we hope, allowing God to break into our everyday lives, to be the beautiful instrument of hope we all long for every day. A hope bringing a deeper love and a greater understanding of who God is and how He calls us to live. A hope allowing the savoring of the sweetness of His grace and the never ending well of His mercy. A hope that redeems us, restores us, and promises His gift of salvation.

Today is the day of hope and this beautiful hope cultivates a relationship that is pure, genuine, and overflowing with delight in the God Most High. On this first Sunday of Advent, it is a day to celebrate indeed.

“She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”

Matthew 1:21 (NIV)
