Resurrection morning dawns to a beautiful day of celebrating the Gospel and reflecting on God’s amazing grace for all mankind. The Church gathers in every corner of the world to remember the cross, but more importantly to celebrate the empty tomb. The Word is proclaimed and praises ring out declaring the glorious truth of death denied and victory is the banner that flies high over every heart.
The day can be summed up in the words of my precious grandsons Callen and Ian as I have heard them recite so many times, ”Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.”
His Name is Jesus. He was born with Jewish roots and a carpenter by trade. He was a son, a brother, a mentor, a friend, and a teacher. His Position – the Son of God; His Calling – the Savior of Man; His Passion – to do the will of His Father.
He was humble but assertive. He was meek but strong. He was full of grace but a holder of justice. He came wielding a sword but also was a giver of peace. He was a prayer, a healer, and a miracle worker. Jesus was fully man but fully God. He endured death on Friday and rose to life on Sunday.
Oh, the beauty of the Most High God, redeeming man for His own through His only Son. Jesus is risen and He is surely “The One” we celebrate and “The One” that changes everything.
My heart is full knowing and loving Jesus and my heart overflows with the goodness that only He can give.
May we never lose the wonder of His new mercy every morning and His abounding grace! He is alive so we too are alive and it is a beautiful way to live.
Happy Resurrection Day…
“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ…”
