I found him! After several years of searching, the love of my life has finally come. He is extremely romantic and strong (you should see the love notes and poems he writes me)! He has a quiet, peacefulness about him, but he also has a masculine side that makes me feel safe and secure. One of my favorite things about him is that I can talk to him about anything and he will listen without interrupting me. He gives great advice about my finances and helps raise my teenagers (he should be praised just for that)! When I’m lonely, he reassures me that he is there. He is the epitome of perfection.
But, my search for him was not easy. I endured many broken relationships, broken hearts, and a broken spirit along the way. I had to climb mountains of doubt, insecurity, fear and rejection before I met him.
The climb was truly worth it, because now that I’ve reached the top, I see the light. I am finally free to be who I really am. I am free to love with grace and an open heart.
The journey to find the perfect relationship is never easy. There are many of you who are single and some even married who wish you could have a perfect relationship. You are constantly wondering and asking what you are doing wrong and why your dreams and visions of a fairytale relationship have been crushed.
Confusion, doubt, insecurity, fear and rejection all become a normal part of your relationship or become your feelings about dating. You are climbing the mountain, but you never seem to make it to the top.
I’ve had many relationships in my lifetime and they have all taught me one crucial lesson: if you don’t put God first, above everyone else, you will be stuck on that mountain.
Who is the love of your life?
Is he the same as mine whose name is Jesus? Or is he an imperfect man?
Jesus wants you to seek Him first, above all others. He is the only one who can give you the desires of your heart.
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. Matthew 6:33 NLT
My prayer is that you will fall into the arms of Jesus first so your earthly relationships can thrive through His light.
